Priorities...

It's Saturday night and I'm excited for tomorrow....I love going to my church, Faith Generations, to spend time with my church family, worship, hear the Word from the Bible and minister to others! And yet, I wonder how many are actually "planning" tonight for tomorrow or if it will just be a second thought....another add on to our busy lives. When I was growing up we didn't wake up on Sundays thinking, "Should I go to church today?" It wasn't an option, it wasn't a good idea, it was part of our lives and part of our committment in the choice we had made as a family to follow Jesus - and none of us were exempt. I'm so glad I was raised that way! We live in a country where we are blessed to have the freedom to go to church and meet with other believers, a freedom so many others don't have! I pray that I never take it for granted and that my week STARTS with putting Jesus first....I can't think of a better way to start my week! : )

Gifting Ideas

A fun way to gift homemade scarves is to slide the finished scarf into the original yarn wrap so the receiver can know how to best care for their new gift....or you can include it w/ the gift listed as "care instructions."

Christmas Knitting....

I'm having so much fun knitting scarves this fall with bulky & super bulky yarn on size 13 or 15 needles...they knit up quick and make for some really cute & original gifts...
This pattern is a Knit 2, Purl 1 Pattern from my friend Vikki...It's so pretty and has a great pattern of rows that run lengthwise...I used Bernat Roving, Bulky weight (5) on size 15 needles (80% Acrylic/20%Wool), one 100g skein. I cast on 14 stitches.
